The Classic Golf Board Game

APBA Pro Golf allows you to recreate the performances of historical and current professional players with modern-day golf equipment. You pick the golfers and make decisions as though you were on tour. APBA Pro Golf invites you to match legendary golfers from the classic era against the titans of modern day golf.

APBA Pro Golf is the only traditional board game that allows you to play a round of golf shot-by-shot, making key decisions at every point during the round. You get to select your club, aim your shot, and decide whether or not to work the ball into a tight pin location or play to the center of the green. You can decide to play cautiously on a 40 foot putt, or take a chance and go for it! You can even select the pin positions and the wind conditions for the day.

APBA Pro Golf is easy to play and at the same time statistically accurate. The APBA results boards have been upgraded to reflect the distances and skills of the current professional players, as well as their typical set of clubs—including hybrids and gap wedges. The results boards also include a number of important new options such as working-the-ball, knocking-down shots for more accuracy, and hitting around trees. Key improvement also include more precise measurements to the greens and pins, realistic treatment of dog-legs, more accurate results for chipping and putting, and results that reflect improvements in tour players’ sand shots. The optional Master Game Rules even include the ability to aim off the center-line and check your lie in the rough, sand, and trees. If you have a clear shot at the green, your approach will be routine, but if you’re short-sided in a bunker, you’ll have a tough time getting up-and-down.

APBA Pro Golf is designed to be compatible with all APBA golf card sets. In addition, the new Master Golf Cards are compatible with older APBA results boards. So, you can bring a legendary player into the 21st Century, take a modern tour player back in time, or play them head-to-head in either era. The new APBA Golf Greatest Seasons Set provides unparalleled statistical precision for the golf connoisseur. Four columns simulate a tour player’s abilities. A new "A" (approach) column, based on Pro Tour “scrambling” statistics, handles shots from inside 100 yards and provides more accurate outcomes for bunker shots, pitching, and chipping. Other results for individual player cards are computed using statistics such as average driving distance, percentage of fairways hit, actual left/right rough tendencies, and average proximity to the hole from various distances. Putting results are computed using average putts per round, three-putt avoidance, and percentage of putts made from several intervals. The Greatest Seasons Set even provides six new Master Symbols to add fun and more accuracy to your round! Each player has a rating for momentum, bounce-back, clutch play, sand play, scrambling, and shot-making. Each of these ratings statistically reflects the special abilities of each tour player.
