The
APBA Golf game converted to the Windows environment is something
that many have looked forward to for many years. APBA has entered
into a partnership with Gary Stishan and George Gerney that now
makes it's availability a reality!
Staying
true to the board game, APBA Golf for WIndows allow you to enjoy
APBA Golf once again, but this time with speed and ease of stat-
keeping! The result of the shots are immediate and with the use
of the auto caddy, a foursome can easily play a hole in a minute
or two, all with accurate stat keeping. A foursome can complete
an 18 hole round in 20-25 minutes. Large tournaments can be completed
in a very reasonable amount of time. And while there isn't a match
play option yet, it is still easy to do.
APBA
Golf for Windows will keep detailed stats of a player's season
and career, maintaining stats and results of every official round
that is played. Graphically, the game is exactly like the board
game, as each hole is presented with the familiar overhead view
with the 5 yard square grid overlay. Shot results are visually
plotted by numbered silver balls with an attached pointer, just
like the board game. You can practice one hole or a specific course.
Play
a regular round of golf with 1-4 players, or use the Tournament
module. With the Tournament module you will have a host of options.
You can set up the number of players you want in the tourney and
whether you want them to play in twosomes, threesomes, or foursomes.
You can set up the number of rounds the tournament will be, what
course or courses to use, if there is a bonus prize for a hole-in-one,
how many rounds to play before cutting players, the number of
players that will survive the cut, and if you want to regroup
the players after each round. There are many more options within
this module as well!

Golf for Windows comes with the APBA All-Time Great Golfer Set
which includes 32 Golfers. The game also includes the APBA Great
Holes Course and a mini-modern golfers set. Additional golfer
sets and courses are available as an additional purchase.
