"Flat-out
fun," says award-winning sportscaster Bob
Costas. "Immediately habit-forming," writes national sports
columnist Phil Mushnick.
The early
reviews are in and BOX SCORE™ looks like a winner. Here's why:
BOX SCORE™
brings fun and excitement to the challenge of sports trivia in
a unique game that plays like a sport. Going well beyond conventional
quiz formats, BOX SCORE™ tests sports knowledge in a game that
makes decision-making, strategy, and luck part of the outcome.
Whether playing for bragging rights in a head-to-head match-up
with a friend or trying for a top ten score in a single-player
game, fans will encounter situations guaranteed to make each and
every game of BOX SCORE™ unpredictable and entertaining.
What's more.
BOX SCORE™ offers fans the convenience of sports trivia entertainment
anytime of day, thanks to the versatility of its single-player
games, Personal Best and Sudden Death. And, with its easy-to-use
multiple choice format, fans of all ages can enjoy playing BOX
SCORE™.
A great trivia
game needs great content and BOX SCORE™ delivers, putting sports
fans to the test with a fascinating array of over 2,000 questions
covering these ten sports and sports-themed categories: BASEBALL,
BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL, ALL SPORTS, HONORS, GOLF, HOCKEY, LEADING
LADIES, MEDIA & MOVIES, and NICKNAMES. In its questions, BOX SCORE™
spotlights the unusual in the world of sports along with famous
players and milestone achievements.
All BOX SCORE™
games, whether the head-to-head or single-player variety, are
played with five categories selected randomly by the computer
prior to the start of play. Games are then played on the game's
unique 25-box "playing field," where players discover that BOX
SCORE™ success is determined not only by knowledge, but by the
randomly concealed Breaks of the Game - Turnovers, Double Plays,
and the once-a-game Grand Slam-that infuse each game with drama
and excitement.
The object
of BOX SCORE™ is to win boxes and the point values that go with
them by correctly answering questions. The goal is to amass the
most points and the key to doing so is to win boxes in a consecutive
five-box sequence, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. A
successful five-box sequence is called a Line Score and is worth
double the combined values of the five boxes (2x1500 points).
BOX SCORE™
was invented by a sports fan for the enjoyment of sports fans.
It's easy to play, fan-friendly, and, as Phil Mushnick already
noted, "immediately habit-forming."
